Genco Construction Services Ltd is a reactive and planned property maintenance company. .

Summary

As a Roofing Engineer, you will be required to carry out roofing maintenance which can be either Reactive maintenance or planned maintenance.

You will need to be able to react quickly and diagnose issues on site and try and rectify or temp fix the problem.

During a reactive call out you will be the first point of contact between Genco and the Client so you need to appear presentable and be polite towards customers.

When you are on planned visits you will be supervised by either the Roofing Supervisor or the site manager.

The office will allocate your work to you weekly. You are reportable to the Roofing Operations Manager.

When on site you are required to logon to their relevant system to ensure they can confirm arrival.

You may need to update their system with further information should the job require extra works.

You will be required to be added to the on-call reactive rota.

This will mean some weekend or Out of Hours Working as and when required.

· Completing Company Vehicle checks daily and sending in weekly (where applicable)

· Signing onto Clients inhouse systems logging time of arrival and time of completion – also providing any updates when necessary

· Obtain Permit to works from clients and upload to one-drive for the office to process

· Use Genco’s in-house App to log into jobs

· The Reactive engineers will also be placed on an ’on call’ rota where they will take turns to be on call during the week nights and at weekends. They will have the office phone diverted to them and this means you will be expected to answer each call in a polite and appropriate manor.

· Monitor e-mails when on-call for all reactive jobs logged and despatch as necessary, Please note – When you are on-call you will have a roofing team you need to despatch roofing jobs to, unless they are already called out. You will be on-call for all other emergency works

· Maintain any tools issued by the Company and ensure they are at the office when requested for PAT Testing

· Ensure you vehicle is stocked with all relevant equipment needed for the job – Be organised and plan ahead

· Read, review and sign RAMS for ALL jobs – ensure you work in a safe manner

· Complete timesheets weekly

· Collect any Materials for jobs - Ensure a valid PO has been given from the office before collecting.

· Carry out dynamic risk assessments, when required

· Complete all e-learning training modules in a timely manner

· Ensure you have the correct PPE before going to site and ensure you have a good stock in your vehicle.

· Carry out surveys for future work and ensure the correct details are collated for estimating to send a quote – If you are unsure please ask you line manager or supervisor for assistance

List of skills and job requirements (this list is not exhaustive)

A good knowledge of multiple roofing systems and advantage, previous experience in liquid plastics an advantage.

· Single ply roofing

· Liquid Plastics

· Tiling

· Fascias

· Guttering

· Cladding

· Roof Management Systems

Training and development will be given to the correct candidate.

You must be able to think proactively and be first attendance to leaks on our clients estate, first time fix where possible.

Be able to use a tablet and create reports surveys on the roofs attended

Based in Kent, working area covers the SE England. You will be on a rota to work approx 1 weekend in 4.

Salary:

Basic salary £35k + OT Vehicle provided
