Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile and experienced General Builder/Maintenance worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of building, repair, and maintenance tasks across different sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a broad skill set in construction and maintenance to contribute to diverse projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. The position involves working on-site with a focus on delivering high standards of workmanship in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out carpentry tasks including framing, fitting, and repairs.
  • Perform roofing work such as repairs, replacements, and inspections.
  • Conduct construction painting to prepare surfaces and finish projects.
  • Install and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
  • Undertake masonry work such as bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete finishing.
  • Assist with electrical installations and maintenance where qualified.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to health and safety regulations.

Skills

  • Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, electrical work or related fields.
  • Proficiency in the use of hand tools and power tools essential for building and maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
