Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter/Roofer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from framing and finishing to roof installation and repair. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for craftsmanship, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and quality. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to building durable structures and ensuring roofs are secure, weatherproof, and built to last. This paid position provides valuable hands-on experience in both carpentry and roofing disciplines, fostering growth and mastery in construction trades.

Duties

  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install building materials using hand tools and power tools with precision
  • Construct frameworks for walls, floors, ceilings, and other structural elements in accordance with safety standards
  • Install, repair, or replace roofing systems including shingles, metal panels, or membranes using appropriate roofing techniques
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed to reinforce structures or create custom components
  • Conduct heavy lifting safely to move materials such as lumber, roofing materials, or masonry components
  • Collaborate with team members on site to ensure projects are completed efficiently and meet quality standards
  • Assist with plumbing or masonry tasks when required for integrated construction projects
  • Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly

Requirements

  • Proven construction experience with a focus on carpentry and roofing projects
  • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
  • Knowledge of roofing systems including installation, repair, and maintenance practices
  • Physical strength to perform heavy lifting and work at heights safely
  • Experience working with masonry or plumbing is a plus but not mandatory
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety protocols at all times
  • Excellent teamwork skills along with the ability to work independently when needed
