Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technician (Flat Roofing) to join our technical services team. This is an entry-level role ideal for someone with a technical mindset and an eagerness to grow within the flat roofing industry. You will assist with technical queries, support project specifications, issue warranties, update technical drawings, and manage document control processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support:

• Assist clients, contractors, and internal teams with technical queries related to flat roofing systems, products, and applications.
• Provide remote guidance on product compatibility, installation techniques, and troubleshooting.
• Keep abreast of latest legislation with regards to flat roofing.

Project Specifications:

• Support the specification process by recommending appropriate products and solutions for various projects.
• Collaborate with architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.

Warranty Issuance:

• Process and issue warranties for completed projects, ensuring all necessary documentation and inspections are in place.

Technical Drawing Updates:

• Update and maintain technical detail drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Assist in developing new drawings as required to support product innovation or project needs.

Document Control:

• Manage and organize technical documents, specifications, and drawings in line with company protocols.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date records are maintained for projects and warranties.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic understanding of technical drawings is advantageous (AutoCAD or similar software).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and develop a deep understanding of flat roofing materials and systems.
• Previous experience or knowledge of the construction or roofing industry is a plus but not essential.
• 3rd level education preferable.

Pay: £22,880.00-£25,000.00 per year
