Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing materials and techniques, as well as the ability to work at heights safely and effectively. The Roofer will collaborate with other tradespeople and contribute to the overall success of construction projects. This job role comes with a company van and fuel card. The roofer will also be expected to help teams with our multi-trade rolls, so any experience you have will be beneficial.

Duties

  • Install roofing systems, including shingles, tiles, and flat roofs, ensuring proper alignment and secure attachment.
  • Repair and replace damaged roofing materials to maintain structural integrity and prevent leaks.
  • Fabricate roofing components as needed using hand tools and power tools.
  • Read and interpret schematics to understand project specifications and requirements.
  • Perform heavy lifting when handling materials and equipment during installation or repairs.
  • Conduct regular inspections of roofs to identify potential issues or areas requiring maintenance.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow on-site while adhering to safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.

Experience

  • Previous experience in roofing is required.
  • Previous experience in other trade is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and masonry equipment is advantageous.
  • Ability to read schematics and understand building plans is beneficial.
  • Strong physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and work at heights safely.
  • A commitment to safety practices on-site is essential for this role.
