Overview
We are seeking a skilled Scaffold to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and dismantling scaffolding systems that provide safe access for workers on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople. A background in construction, particularly in areas such as roofing, electrical work, masonry, or carpentry, will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Construct and assemble scaffolding structures according to specifications and safety regulations.
  • Dismantle scaffolding upon project completion while ensuring all components are accounted for.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure efficient workflow on-site.
  • Inspect scaffolding for stability and safety before use.
  • Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for fabrication and assembly tasks.
  • Assist in painting and finishing tasks as required on-site.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Skills

  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to scaffold building.
  • Experience in roofing, electrical work, masonry, or carpentry is highly desirable.
  • Ability to fabricate scaffolding components as needed for specific projects.
  • Knowledge of plumb techniques to ensure structures are level and secure.
  • Welding skills are a plus for certain scaffold applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on-site.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
