Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator (Roofing) to join our Client based in Norwich, Norfolk and drive successful project planning from the initial assessment through to accurate cost estimation. In this role, you will evaluate roofing projects, analyse specifications, and prepare comprehensive estimates that align with client needs and company standards. Your expertise will help ensure competitive pricing, effective resource allocation, and seamless project execution. Duties

  • Review project plans, specifications, and site conditions to develop precise roofing cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with sales teams, project managers, and clients to understand project scope and requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather data necessary for accurate estimation.
  • Prepare detailed proposals outlining material costs, labor requirements, equipment needs, and timelines.
  • Utilise estimating software and cost control tools to ensure accuracy and consistency across projects.
  • Analyse supplier quotes and negotiate pricing to optimize project budgets.
  • Support project teams during bidding processes, contract negotiations, and project planning stages.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in roofing estimation or a related construction estimating role.
  • Strong knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure precise cost calculations.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and building codes.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.
  • Focus on cost control strategies to maximise efficiency without compromising quality.
