Job Summary
We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join our friendly team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all aspects of tender pricing are meticulously applied. As a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the financial application of construction projects, from initial tender documents and drawings through to finalised tenders, ensuring on time delivery and the most efficient price.

Responsibilities

• Measurement / take offs from tender drawings
• Preparation & submission of tender bids, including a review of scopes, specifications and all other tender documentation.
• Attending post tender / prestart meetings.
• Checking contractual / order documents.
• Pricing drawing revisions.
• Management of variation accounts.
• Liaising with contracts managers to produce ‘pay sheets’ for our carpenters.

Experience

• Proven experience in quantity surveying/Estimating within the construction industry is highly desirable.
• Carpentry experience/knowledge an advantage but not essential, but some form of construction knowledge preferable (be it from education, on the tools yourself or from having a developer or subcontracting background).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise in professionally manor with clients.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of quantity surveying software an advantage.
• Strong analytical capabilities.

Salary:

Salary negotiable subject to experience.

• All aspects of carpentry including Joisting, Roofing, 1st Fix, 2nd Fix and Finals Carpentry works (to houses & low/high rise apartment blocks)
• Window Installation.
• Kitchen Installation.
• Timber frame erection
• Crane Hire (Bocker AK42 OR Bocker AK46).
• Fire Door Inspections, Installation, Remedial Works, and Maintenance on past and current developments.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
