Installation Manager – Conservatory Roofs | Rugby, Warwickshire |* Salary: £45,000 | Schedule: Monday to Friday, hours TBC*

The role

Reporting to the Head of Installations, you’ll lead approximately 6 teams of installers day to day, making sure every job is done right first time, on schedule and to a high standard of customer care. This is a hands-on role with regular travel across your area for inspections, audits and on-site support.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing installation teams so the right team, materials and timing are in place for every job
  • Monitoring orders in FileMaker and signing off completed work using photo evidence and team feedback
  • Carrying out site inspections, identifying issues and writing clear scopes of works (SOW) for remedial work
  • Investigating technical problems to find the root cause and prevent repeat issues
  • Resolving day-to-day problems such as reschedules and incompletes, working with Planning to keep capacity fully booked
  • Setting and upholding standards on health and safety, workmanship and van use, with on-site training and audits
  • Supporting customer complaint investigations and putting corrective actions in place
  • Reporting daily on completion rates, past-due jobs and escalations, and driving process improvements

What we’re looking for

Essential:

  • Proven experience fitting conservatory roofs (minimum 5 years in conservatory installation)
  • Proven experience managing installation teams (minimum 2 years)
  • Ability to carry out root cause analysis and produce accurate scopes of works from site inspections
  • Confident handling customer enquiries and complaints
  • Full UK driving licence and willing to travel regularly within your area
  • Basic computer skills, strong planning and communication skills

Desirable:

  • 10+ years’ conservatory installation experience
  • Wider home improvement experience (windows, roofing)
  • Continuous improvement knowledge (e.g. Six Sigma)
