About Us

Great pay. Fully funded qualifications. Excellent training. Real opportunities to progress.

At Rose Care Group, we’re a people-first care provider committed to helping our teams grow, develop and build rewarding careers across Devon and Somerset. We’re proud to have built a group of welcoming homes where residents are genuinely cared for, valued and supported to live well.

Every RCG home has its own character, community and team, but they’re all built around the same simple belief: people come first. We believe in treating our residents in the same way we’d want our own mum, dad or loved ones to be treated - with kindness, dignity, respect and genuine care.

We’re proud to have been recognised as Best Mid-Sized Care Group in Devon in both 2024 and 2025, but for us, the real measure of success is the difference our teams make every day to the lives of our residents and their families. It’s about creating homes where people feel safe and cared for - and that starts with having the right people in our teams.

About the Role:

Your shifts will be a mixture of 8am–2pm, 2pm–8pm and 8am–8pm, including every other weekend, so full flexibility across these shifts is required.

As a Day Care Assistant at Rose Care Group, you’ll be part of a friendly team supporting our residents with their day-to-day care and helping to make sure they feel comfortable, happy and well looked after.

You’ll get to know our residents as individuals, building good relationships with them and supporting them in a way that works for them. No two days are the same, and it’s a role where the little things you do can make a real difference.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming and continence care
  • Supporting residents with toileting and changing, always maintaining dignity and privacy
  • Assisting with mobility and transfers
  • Supporting with meals and drinks
  • Following individual care plans
  • Supporting residents to maintain independence and choice
  • Supporting residents to take part in activities and enjoy meaningful time together
  • Building positive relationships with residents and their families
  • Monitoring and reporting changes in residents' wellbeing
  • Completing care records accurately
  • Working closely with colleagues to provide consistent, high-quality care
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment

You’ll be:

· Caring, kind and compassionate, with a genuine passion for supporting others.

· Reliable, positive and a great team player.

· Respectful of residents’ dignity, independence and individual choices.

· Willing to learn, develop and get stuck in.

· Able to communicate well with residents, families and colleagues.

· Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check as part of the recruitment process.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive pay at £13.65 per hour
  • Fully funded NVQs from Level 2 to Level 5
  • Ongoing training and development
  • One-to-one support
  • A friendly and supportive team
  • Opportunities to develop your skills and progress within RCG
  • A rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference every day

Pay: £13.65 per hour

Benefits:

  • Company pension
  • Free parking
  • On-site parking
  • Paid training
  • Referral programme

Work Location: In person
