Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and passionate Chef de Partie to join the newest addition to the award winning Exeter based Restaurant "CRAVE". This is the second site from owner and operator Sameer Shetty. We are looking for a few individuals to join our vibrant culinary team.

The team will be lead and Headed by our Senior Head Chef, and a few select individuals who are joining us from our existing sister site "CRAVE Exeter".

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary skills and gain valuable experience within the hospitality industry. Candidates should have a strong interest in food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Duties

  • Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to recipes and restaurant standards
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
  • Assist with food plating and presentation to ensure visual appeal
  • Follow food safety regulations and uphold hygiene standards
  • Support other kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operation
  • Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels as needed
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies, including proper handling of kitchen equipment

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in fresh food preparation is essential, with a minimum of 2 years experience required at Rosette or Michelin level preferred. This is not essential but must have good understanding of executing recipes using raw ingredients.
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques and meal preparation processes
  • Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
  • Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality environment is essential
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
