Production Operative

£13.00 per hour | Full-Time, Temporary

Working hours:

  • Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:00am–2:00pm
  • 38.22 hours per week

Job Overview

We are currently recruiting a Production Operative to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role assembling electrical components, carrying out quality checks, and supporting production to ensure high standards are consistently met.

This is a temporary, full-time position offering stable hours, with an early finish on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble part and fully finished electrical components and products
  • Carry out visual quality checks and testing (where trained)
  • Boxing, packing, and preparing products for dispatch
  • Prepare components for production and feed machines
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
  • Monitor quality and report issues to the Production Team Leader
  • Handle components and equipment correctly and safely
  • Participate in training, continuous improvement, and Lean initiatives
  • Promote health, safety, and environmental standards at all times

Skills & Experience

  • Good numeracy and literacy skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Confident following instructions and procedures
