Medical Instructor

Due to continued success and a number of recent client wins, Stream Marine Training are now looking for an additional medical instructor to join our team of instructors. Whilst based at our HQ near Glasgow Airport, you will deliver medical courses throughout the UK with potential for future international delivery. The courses we deliver include both theory and practical lessons and we work across multiple awarding bodies and across several sectors of industry.

We are looking for a candidate who can both deliver medical courses with passion but is also highly organised with exceptional presentation skills, an eye for detail and is competent with Office 365. You will be joining a company which puts the clients first and will be part of a passionate, dynamic, and highly motivated team of instructors who deliver first class training.

Key responsibilities

· Deliver Stream Marine Training’s STCW, OPITO, GWO and HSE medical courses ensuring all training is delivered safely, in accordance with company and awarding body procedures.

· Flexible approach to the training location, ensuring the product is the same regardless of location.

· Ensure for each lesson all the relevant preparation, teaching materials, equipment and documents are in working and in order to deliver the course.

· Ensure the course material is up to date and in line with legislative requirements.

· Assist with course development for new courses and new delivery methodology. Ensure your own qualifications are kept up to date in order to deliver courses.

Personal Specification

· Previous experience of delivering medical courses is desirable

· A background as an armed forces medic, registered general nurse, paramedic or equivalent training or specialism is essential

· Competence Assessor desirable

· Train the Trainer and Assessor Qualifications or equivalent desirable

· Flexible approach to work and willing to travel for course delivery on client sites.

· Strong Interpersonal & Communication Skills

· Time Management – plan / organise / delegate

· Self-motivated with ability to work independently or within team

· Accuracy & Attention to detail

· Reliable / Flexible / Adaptable

· Confidentiality & Integrity
