Consulting brings together multiple teams across Transactions, Risk & Consulting, ABA, and Outsourcing to provide client-centric solutions for RSM’s current and future clients within the middle market. Our Consulting team has a major role to play in driving forward the growth of the firm with over 1,700 people delivering almost £200m revenue.

At the heart of Consulting are the six solutions we offer our clients: business transformation, deal services, finance function support, risk and governance, forensic and investigation services, and restructuring. Our solutions create an enhanced tailored approach to support our clients in achieving their strategic goals and empower our people to make an impact and develop their own unique career path.

An exciting opportunity to join our Special Investigations team in London. Our Special Investigations team focus on contentious insolvency and fraud investigations with a demonstrated history of recovering assets from both the UK and overseas.

We deal with cross-border issues, complex litigation and numerous contentious issues, as well as liquidations and high-profile bankruptcies.

You will need to be analytically minded with report writing experience and a strong desire to work on contentious insolvency cases. You should be commercially aware of budgets and time recording, with the ability to work on a large portfolio of cases, ensuring both excellent client service and compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and the firm’s internal and external procedures and standards.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Assisting on a large portfolio of insolvency cases, including compulsory liquidations, creditors voluntary liquidations and bankruptcies.
  • Planning assignments in accordance with the firm's standard procedures and relevant statutory and regulatory obligations.
  • Carrying out tasks under guidance of all levels of senior colleagues and regularly report to them as appropriate.
  • Assisting with case control and handle all statutory and other deadlines.
  • Conducting detailed analysis of financial information and other records, to identify issues, assets and antecedent transactions including misfeasance, transactions at undervalue and breach of duty claims.

Qualifications:

  • CPI qualification beneficial but not a prerequisite for the role.

Experience/ Attributes:

  • Good understanding of IPS or similar case management system.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills and ability to be responsive and adaptable to their workload.
  • Be able to demonstrate a strong commercial outlook.
  • Commitment to high quality delivery within agreed timeframes.
  • Proven experience in insolvency fraud investigation cases is preferable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable communicating with all levels.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Proven attention to detail.
  • Interest in development and strives to improve own performance.
  • Proven experience in client handling and case ownership skills.
