Full job description

About Peya

Peya is an artisanal South Asian beverage brand bringing naturally crafted chai and spiced cacao to markets, festivals and events across London. We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented person to help us blend and package our dry chai and cacao blends at our Watford production facility.

The Role

You'll work behind the scenes blending and packaging our dry chai and spiced cacao mixes into tins, ready for sale at markets and events. Consistency and attention to detail matter here — you're helping make sure every tin is blended and packed to the same high standard. From time to time, you may also be asked to help out at weekend markets.

What You'll Do

  • Measure and blend dry chai and cacao ingredients to our exact recipes
  • Package finished blends into tins, ensuring consistent weight and presentation
  • Label and prepare tins ready for market days
  • Maintain a clean, organised and food-safe production space
  • Manage stock levels and flag when ingredients need reordering
  • Follow food hygiene and safety standards at all times
  • Occasionally support at weekend markets, as needed

We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Is reliable, punctual and detail-oriented
  • Is comfortable lifting heavy items (ingredient packs can go up to 25kg)
  • Can follow recipes and processes consistently and accurately
  • Takes pride in producing a quality, consistent product
  • Is comfortable working independently and managing their own time
  • Has good communication skills — a bonus, especially for coordinating stock with the market team

Bonus points for:

  • Experience in food preparation, packaging, or production environments
  • Basic understanding of food hygiene practices (or willingness to get certified)
  • Own car and full UK driving licence — you may occasionally be needed to help out or transport stock to weekend markets
  • Interest in tea, spices, or beverage crafting

Hours

  • Part-time, flexible (specific days/hours TBC based on your availability)

Pay

Competitive hourly rate.

Why Join Peya?

  • Be part of the process behind a growing artisan beverage brand
  • Work in a hands-on, low-pressure environment
  • Flexible part-time hours that can fit around other commitments

Application Process

  • Send us a your CV and a quick note about yourself and why you'd be a great fit
  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a short interview
