Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the overall smooth operation of the kitchen.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong culinary background to develop their skills within a professional environment dedicated to excellence in food service.

Shift info

Candidates must be available to work a set shift pattern; 4 days during the week and every other weekend.

Start time: 8am

Finish time: 4.30pm

Duties

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes in accordance with restaurant standards and recipes
  • Assist in the organisation and management of specific sections within the kitchen
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed
  • Support the team during busy service periods, ensuring timely delivery of meals
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations and kitchen equipment
  • Collaborate with other chefs to ensure consistency and quality across all dishes
  • Contribute ideas for menu development and presentation enhancements

Experience

  • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
  • Previous restaurant experience, ideally in a similar role such as Demi Chef or Commis Chef
  • Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary processes
  • Experience working in fast-paced settings with excellent organisational skills
  • Serving experience is advantageous but not essential; a passion for delivering exceptional customer service is important
