At Kip McGrath, tutors can focus on what matters most: teaching. Lessons are delivered using structured Kip McGrath programmes and purpose-built learning software, reducing preparation and marking time while allowing each pupil to follow an individual learning programme.
About the role
You will work with pupils in a supportive small-group setting while providing individual teaching and guidance throughout each session.
Depending on your subject and age-group specialism, your responsibilities may include:

- Supporting pupils with gaps in learning, confidence and core skills
- Helping secondary English/Maths pupils prepare for National 5 or Higher, where appropriate
- Building positive and encouraging relationships with pupils
- Maintaining accurate online records of pupil progress and goals
- Providing clear, professional feedback to parents when required
- Following safeguarding, centre and data-protection procedures
- Attending scheduled sessions reliably and punctually
- Working positively as part of the Clydebank centre team
Sessions take place mainly after school, during evenings and at weekends. Tutors will normally take responsibility for one or more regular weekly sessions and assessments, with the potential for additional hours as pupil numbers and the centre timetable grow.
