About Fleet Assist

Fleet Assist are the UK’s leading supply chain management specialist of service, maintenance and repair services to over 1.3million vehicles across leasing, rental, salary sacrifice and vehicle subscription businesses. Our fully managed SMR network in excess of 5,200 garages and over 500 mobile service units is the largest of its kind in the UK.

The Role

We’re looking for a sharp, solutions-focused Business Analyst to join our dynamic team and help shape real business outcomes in the fast-evolving UK automotive space. You’ll play a key role in bridging the gap between tech and business — capturing requirements, supporting platforms, improving processes, and delivering impactful products — all while collaborating with a passionate, forward-thinking team.

This is a hands-on role, where you’ll be engaging directly with stakeholders, supporting platform-related queries, and contributing to a range of projects. You’ll gain exposure to the UK automotive sector and will work closely with product owners, developers, and other analysts to deliver solutions that add real value.

If you have experience with requirement gathering, business process mapping, SQL, application support, and using tools like Excel and PowerPoint to deliver impactful reports and presentations, we’d love to hear from you.

Automotive industry experience would be a benefit, but is not essential.

What You’ll Work On

  • Gathering Requirements: Work with internal stakeholders to capture and document business needs in alignment with strategic goals.
  • User Story & Spec Authoring: Collaboratively define and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements in close partnership with stakeholders and development teams, embracing an iterative and adaptive approach.
  • Business Process Analysis: Map, analyse, and improve business processes, identifying areas for efficiency and optimization.
  • UX Visualisation: Create wireframes, mockups, or interactive prototypes to clearly communicate user journeys and illustrate potential solutions from a user experience perspective.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate communication across business and technical teams, playing back requirements and findings regularly.
  • SQL & Data Analysis: Write and execute basic SQL queries to support business decision-making, alongside data analysis using Excel.
  • Reporting: Deliver clear reports and presentations (Excel, PowerPoint) to communicate requirements, findings, and recommendations.
  • Business Case Creation: Contribute to project justifications, project plans, and resource allocation discussions.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Support and coordinate UAT activities to validate that delivered solutions meet business objectives.
  • Change Management: Support the embedding of new processes or systems while minimising disruption.
  • Platform Support: Actively troubleshoot and resolve platform and application issues, collaborating closely with technical teams to deliver solutions and technical support to users.

What You’ll Bring

  • Several years’ experience as a Business Analyst or in a related platform/application support role.
  • Strong experience in requirements gathering, business process mapping, and documentation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to talk across technical and business teams.
  • Proficient in tools such as Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
  • Basic SQL knowledge for data extraction and analysis.
  • Experience creating mockups, wireframes, or prototypes to demonstrate solutions or processes, with an emphasis on intuitive and user-friendly user experience (UX).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Hands-on experience working in an Agile environment with tools eg Jira/Confluence/Devops and writing user stories
  • Experience in platform/application support (incident resolution, troubleshooting, stakeholder triage) is highly advantageous.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience in the automotive industry or supply chain management.

Personal Attributes

  • Excellent communicator
  • Proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Skilled at turning ambiguity into structured, actionable deliverables.
  • Curious and motivated to learn both the business and technical sides of the role.
