The Role

We are looking to establish a relationship with an experienced Learning & Development Contractor to support the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of training and development initiatives across the business. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual who is passionate about developing people, enhancing skills, and supporting organisational growth.

Location: Hyrbrid with travel to South Wales and Reading when necessary

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging internal training materials that support onboarding and competency development across the company. Materials should be clear, consistent, and suitable for both in-person and online delivery.
  • Future requirements may include advising on the wider company competency framework, development, pathways, and supporting programmes to strengthen capability, consistency and operational performance.
  • Conduct training needs analyses and identify skills gaps across the organisation.
  • Support onboarding and induction programmes for new employees.
  • Create and maintain learning materials, guides, presentations, and e-learning content.
  • Coordinate training schedules and manage training records.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and recommend improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with managers to support individual and team development plans.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development

The Person

  • Previous experience in a Learning & Development, Training, or HR Development role.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Experience designing and delivering training programmes.
  • Strong organisational and project management abilities.
  • The ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms is desirable
