Location: Oldham, Saddleworth, Shaw, Royton, Chadderton, Lees, Uppermill, Mossley & Stalybridge

Job Type: Flexible

Salary: £100 - £130 per day

Join Our Live-In & Overnight Care Team

Home Instead Oldham & Saddleworth is expanding its Live-In & Overnight care team and is looking for caring, compassionate Care Professionals to provide high-quality Live-In Care, Sleeping Night Support and Waking Night Support to older adults living in their own homes.

This role offers a unique opportunity to provide truly person-centred care. Unlike traditional domiciliary care, you will have the time to build meaningful relationships with clients, provide one-to-one support, and make a genuine difference to someone's quality of life.

We are looking for individuals who are flexible and willing to undertake a mixture of Live-In Care, Sleeping Nights and Waking Nights depending on client requirements.

Previous care experience is welcomed but not essential as full training and ongoing support will be provided.

  • Sleeping Night Support - £100 per shift

Care Professional Responsibilities

Being a Care Professional means putting others first. We are looking for kind, reliable individuals who are passionate about helping older adults remain safe, comfortable and independent within their own homes.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Providing companionship and emotional support

  • Assisting with personal care

  • Supporting clients with mobility

  • Medication support and reminders

  • Preparing meals and drinks

  • Light housekeeping and household tasks

  • Supporting clients with hobbies and activities

  • Shopping and collecting prescriptions

  • Providing reassurance and support overnight

  • Monitoring wellbeing and responding appropriately to concerns

  • Supporting clients living with dementia and other health conditions

No two clients are the same and support will always be tailored to the individual's needs and preferences.

About Live-In & Overnight Care

This role requires flexibility across all specialist services.

Live-In Care

As a Live-In Care Professional, you will stay in the client's home and provide personalised support throughout the day. You will have your own private bedroom and scheduled downtime during the day while remaining available to support the client when required.

Sleeping Nights

During a Sleeping Night assignment, you will sleep in the client's home and be available should assistance be required during the night.

Waking Nights

During a Waking Night assignment, you will remain awake throughout the shift, providing ongoing monitoring, support and reassurance where needed.

Essential Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Willingness to provide personal care

  • Availability to work alternate weekends

  • Willingness to undertake Live-In Care, Sleeping Nights and Waking Nights

  • Good communication skills

  • A caring, compassionate and professional approach

Additional Advantages

While not essential, the following would be beneficial:

  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • Access to a reliable vehicle

  • Previous experience within care

  • Experience working independently
