Account Manager - North London & East Anglia

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

This role is a great fit for you if:

  • You have 2+ years of proven external field sales, territory management, or specification sales experience.
  • Your sales background is strictly within the UK heating, plumbing, HVAC, water treatment, or building services market.
  • You have experience in field sales with industry manufacturers.
  • You love being on the road, managing your own diary, and building relationships face-to-face.

This role is NOT a fit for you if:

  • Your sales experience is primarily internal, retail, desk-based, or administrative.
  • You do not have commercial experience within the plumbing, heating, or HVAC sectors.
  • You are looking for a hybrid role with minimal travel (this role requires roughly 75% travel across the region).

The Role: We are seeking an experienced field-based Account Manager to take full ownership of an established, high-performing territory across North London and East Anglia. This is a 75% travel-based road role focused on driving revenue through merchants, contractors, developers, and housing associations.

Are You the Right Fit?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and grow relationships across merchants, buying groups, contractors, installers, and developers.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across the North London & East Anglia region.
  • Deliver against territory growth targets and structured account plans.
  • Support customer training and lead technical product discussions.
  • Lead pricing and commercial negotiations to maximize profitability.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and attend regular meetings at our Daresbury HQ.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of external field sales experience within the UK plumbing, heating, or HVAC sector (Required).
  • Industry Knowledge: Applications without relevant sector experience will not be progressed.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time across the territory (Required).
  • Licence: Full, clean UK Driving Licence (Required).
  • CRM: 2 years of experience using CRM systems to manage pipelines (Preferred).
  • Work Authorization: Must have the permanent right to work in the UK.
