High Post Golf Club is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Bar Supervisor to join our Food & Beverage team.

This is a hands-on supervisory position and an important role within our hospitality operation. Working directly with our F&B Manager, you will act as their No. 2 for front-of-house operations, helping to lead the bar and FOH team and taking responsibility for service when the F&B Manager is not present.

We are a busy private members’ golf club on the outskirts of Salisbury, providing everyday bar and dining service alongside golf events, functions, parties, wakes and business meetings.

Responsible to: F&B Manager

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising and supporting the bar and front-of-house team during service
• Taking responsibility for FOH operations when the F&B Manager is absent
• Delivering friendly, professional and efficient service to members and guests
• Opening and closing the Clubhouse, including cash-handling and end-of-day procedures
• Ensuring the bar, lounge, dining and function areas are prepared and presented to a high standard
• Supporting the delivery of functions, events and busy golf days
• Assisting with staff training, briefings and day-to-day team organisation
• Supporting beverage stock control, deliveries, rotation and stocktakes
• Maintaining high standards within the bar, cellar and beverage storage areas
• Working closely with the Club Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth service
• Dealing confidently and professionally with routine member and guest enquiries or issues
• Ensuring licensing, food hygiene, health & safety and Club procedures are followed

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience within a bar, hospitality or F&B environment
• Ideally has supervisory or team-leading experience, although we will consider an experienced hospitality professional ready to take the next step
• Is confident supervising a team while remaining hands-on during service
• Has excellent customer service and communication skills
• Is reliable, organised and comfortable taking responsibility
• Has good knowledge of bar and beverage operations
• Can remain calm and make sensible decisions during busy periods
• Takes pride in high standards of service, cleanliness and presentation
• Is able to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required

Food hygiene, licensing or hospitality qualifications are desirable, but training can be provided for the right candidate.

What We Offer

• Starting salary of up to £31,200 per annum / £15.00 per hour
• 40-hour full-time contract ideally. We will also consider applicants seeking a minimum of 30 hours per week, with working patterns to be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate.
