Job Title: Production & Warehouse Manager

Company: Local Honey Man LTD

Location: London, E17

Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (8:30 am - 5:30 pm, Monday - Friday)

About Us:

Local Honey Man is a rapidly scaling, London-based beekeeping and production company. We produce and distribute premium raw local honey across the UK. We operate with a strong, rewarding, and hardworking culture. As we continue to expand our product lines and commercial partnerships, we are looking for a highly capable Production & Warehouse Manager to lead our operations.

The Role:

We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented leader to manage our warehouse function and drive our overall production strategy. You will lead a close-knit team of 3-5 warehouse operators, taking full ownership of our production output, stock management, and strict hygiene controls.

This is not just a supervisory role; it is a strategic management position. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in food production environments, a deep understanding of SALSA accreditation, and the ability to forecast and execute production schedules to meet commercial demand.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Production Strategy: Plan, manage, and execute the daily and weekly honey production schedules to meet sales demands.
  • Compliance & SALSA: Take full ownership of completing and maintaining SALSA food accreditation paperwork, HACCP checklists, and end-of-day closing procedures.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and manage a team of warehouse operators, ensuring high standards of safety and efficiency.
  • Inventory Control: Manage all inbound materials, perform quality checks, execute regular stock takes, and maintain the Warehouse Management System.
  • Hands-On Operations: Operate machinery in the honey processing room, assist with unloading/loading via forklift (and by hand), and oversee safe dispatch of orders alongside transport partners.
  • Facility Management: Maintain the honey room and warehouse facility, ensuring it constantly meets strict food standard requirements and hygiene levels.

Experience, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • 3+ years in a Warehouse/Production Management or Supervisory role (Food industry preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience managing and maintaining SALSA (or equivalent) food accreditation.
  • Strong understanding of Warehouse Management Systems and inventory forecasting.
  • Trained in Health & Safety and advanced food hygiene standards.
  • Valid Forklift license (highly preferred).
  • Ability to comfortably lift 20-30kg and handle the physical demands of an agricultural warehouse.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize workloads, and problem-solve on the fly.
  • Strong command of written and verbal English.
  • Must not be allergic to bees.

What We Offer (The Perks):

  • £30,000 - £34,000 base salary.
  • Your Birthday off, plus a company birthday celebration.
  • The SALSA / KPI Bonus: A performance-based annual or quarterly bonus tied directly to passing the SALSA audit or hitting production targets.
  • Free Monthly Honey / Staff Discount: An allowance of free products or a heavy discount for family.
  • Quarterly Team Lunches / Events
  • Training & Development Budget
  • Significant scope for long-term career progression as the business scales.

To Apply:

We don't want a boring, generic cover letter. To apply, email your CV to [Insert Email] and do the following:

  • Make your subject line exactly: "I'm the Queen/King Bee for the Job!"
  • In the body of the email, tell us your absolute best (or worst) bee-related joke.
  • Give us a brief paragraph on why you are a superstar at managing production lines.

If you don't include the joke or the exact subject line, your application will go straight in the bin.

We need people who pay attention to detail!

Want to skip the queue? (Optional): We love personality. If you want to guarantee your application goes straight to the top of the pile, skip the cover letter and send us a quick, casual 60-second video (shot on your phone is perfect). Tell us your name, your favorite bee joke, and why you are the absolute best person to run our production line.

Applications without the joke will not be considered.

We need leaders who pay attention to the details!

Pay: £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Casual dress
  • Company events
  • Employee discount
