Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Scaffold Builder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and dismantling scaffolding structures to support various construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. The Scaffold Builder will work on a variety of sites, ensuring that all scaffolding is erected safely and efficiently.

Duties

  • Construct and dismantle scaffolding structures in accordance with safety regulations and project specifications.
  • Ensure all scaffolding is plumb, level, and secure before use.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and masons, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for fabrication and assembly tasks.
  • Perform regular inspections of scaffolding to identify any potential hazards or maintenance needs.
  • Assist in the painting and finishing of scaffolded areas as required.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Experience

  • Proven experience in scaffold building or a related construction field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with welding techniques and electrical installations is advantageous.
  • Experience using various hand tools, power tools, and masonry equipment is essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings is beneficial.
  • Previous experience in roofing or similar construction activities would be an asset.
