Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Scaffold Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and dismantling scaffolding structures to support construction activities. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work effectively in various environments, including residential and commercial sites. The Scaffold Builder will collaborate with other tradespeople and ensure that all scaffolding is erected to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Construct scaffolding structures according to specifications and safety regulations.
• Dismantle scaffolding upon project completion, ensuring all materials are accounted for and stored properly.
• Collaborate with carpenters, electricians, and masons to coordinate scaffold needs for various projects.
• Use power tools and hand tools effectively to fabricate scaffold components as required.
• Ensure all scaffolding is plumb, level, and secure before use.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
• Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding structures to identify any potential hazards or maintenance needs.

Skills

• Proficiency in using power tools such as drills, saws, and grinders.
• Experience with hand tools including hammers, wrenches, and levels.
• Knowledge of masonry techniques is advantageous.
• Familiarity with electrical installations as they relate to scaffold requirements is beneficial.
• Ability to weld or fabricate scaffold components as needed.
• Strong understanding of painting techniques for finishing touches on scaffolding structures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail when plumb-ing structures.
• Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £22.00-£30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
