Full job description

The Opportunity

The main purpose of the Scaffolder role is to erect, dismantle and alter scaffold as part of a team which supports multiple sites/projects across central Scotland.

Key duties and responsibilities:

> Make adequate provision for the safety of themselves, the workforce, the public affected by scaffolding work, and future users of the scaffold structure by working to the relevant British and European Standards, NASC guidance and statutory regulations

> Install anchor ties and other specialist fixings to the manufacturer’s recommendations. Testing and reporting in accordance with TG4

> Inspect basic scaffolds prior to handover

> You will be required to travel from site to site, and some projects may involve overnight stays

The Person

The ideal candidate for the role will be able to demonstrate and have knowledge of statutory regulations and safety requirements (including SG4) relating to the erection and dismantling of simple scaffolds, as well as the regulations governing inspection of scaffolds.


> Knowledge of tube & fitting

> Health and Safety trained and tested

> Minimum 2 years scaffold experience

> Part 1/ Part 2 Scaffold training

> NQV Level 2 Scaffolding

> CISRS Basic Scaffolder card holder


> Layher/ Cuplock/ Haki/ Plettac system scaffold trained
