CATERING MANAGER (Full-Time) - Secondary School Catering - SWANSEA

About Us

Relish School Food are a Fresh Food company specialising in the education market (Primary, Secondary and Special Needs schools).

The role will be providing catering services to one of our Secondary Schools in Swansea. The successful candidate must be a qualified Chef , confident in the cooking abilities, have a passion for fresh quality food/service; and have the ability to work on their own as well as manage a team of Kitchen Assistants.

***Full induction and training of the system will be given by our experienced Operations Manager***.

Role Details:

  • £16.62 per hour, £31,976.9 per annum
  • 37 hours per week; Full-Time, 52 weeks !
  • Monday - Friday - No Weekend work!
  • Start and finish times between 07:00 - 15:00/TBC.

Some of the tasks of the role:

  • To generally manage and oversee the provision of catering services within an agreed budget within the existing and proposed schools. Work alongside and liaise with the School.
  • To ensure that the stock and cash are accurately recorded daily and kept within agreed financial targets to control and monitor all arrears of expense to ensure achievement of the budget
  • To ensure procedures for accurate receiving, appropriate storing and security of all goods are in operation.
  • To comply with the Schools policies.
  • To oversee the administration of book keeping system and report the weekly financial performance to the Head Teacher and Finance Director
  • To use the Reli-Till cashless system to record meal numbers for all children and staff and visitors and to record any meals that have been served for sales reconciliation.
  • To ensure that all operations are compliant with legislation
  • To comply with all the Health and safety, Food Safety and Safeguarding of Children.
