We are seeking to appoint a Student Counsellor to support our exemplary Whole School Pastoral Support provision here at Notre Dame School!

Our Academic and Extra-Curricular Pastoral Support plays a fundamental role across our whole school, from Prep School to Sixth Form.

We have comprehensive facilities for Wellbeing, Wellbeing Mentors and Dogs, dedicated wellbeing spaces, and an impressive schedule of extracurricular activities.

We are seeking a self-motivated individual who will play a crucial role in leading and fostering success in our one-to-one counselling provision for our students.

You will be an accomplished and inspiring Counsellor with energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for fostering a love of learning in young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emotional support to students through one-to-one counselling, drop-in sessions, and collaboration with pastoral staff and ELSA.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records and adhere to professional ethical standards (BACP guidelines).
  • Work closely with parents, staff, Heads of Year, SLT, and external agencies, offering guidance and regular progress reports.
  • Manage resources and keep up-to-date knowledge of external support services while contributing to relevant school meetings.

Remuneration:

£50,757-£51,894 FTE
