Are you a disciplined leader with a passion for developing young talent? Leigh Stationers’ Academy is looking for a dynamic School Staff Instructor (SSI) to be the backbone of our Combined Cadet Force (CCF). If you have the grit of a Combined Cadet Force Adult Volunteer (CFAV) and the heart of a mentor, we want you on our team.
As the SSI, you aren’t just an administrator; you are the standard-bearer. You’ll work alongside the Contingent Commander to ensure our cadets thrive in a safe, high-energy environment.
You will need to:
- Manage the Westminster database, security clearances, and recruitment.
- Oversee the MOD loan stores, grants, and the CCF budget.
- Draft expert risk assessments and ensure every drill or exercise is compliant and secure.
- Keep the unit "spit and polish" for Biennial and Security inspections.
- Champion student welfare and safeguarding with a "warm-strict" approach.
We need a mission-focused professional who brings:
- Deep Cadet Knowledge: You are a serving CFAV who lives the ethos.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient in MS Office and the Westminster system.
- Resilience: Ready to lead during camps and unsociable hours.
- Bonus Points: First Aid, SAAI, Adventure Training qualifications, or a D1 Minibus license.
Working with us at Leigh Stationers' Academy
Leigh Stationers' Academy is a school dedicated to making a positive impact on every student. We're proud to be a Leigh Academies Trust school, prioritising a 'human-scale' education model where students feel recognised and valued.
As an IB World School, our curriculum is rooted in the International Baccalaureate philosophy. We offer the IB Middle Years Programme for students in Years 7-9, designed to help them become curious, well-rounded, and resilient learners. We also have a strong focus on extracurricular activities. We're one of the largest providers of the Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award in the South and one of only six state schools with a Marine Combined Cadet Force (CCF).
Our commitment to strong partnerships with parents and carers, as well as our robust pastoral care system, ensures every student receives the support they need to succeed. Our dedicated and skilled staff are key to our success, and we provide extensive professional development opportunities to support their growth.
