Here at ExamWorks we support the Department of Work and Pensions delivering health assessments of claimants wishing to receive the Personal Independence Payment benefit.

Using your previous experience as a nurse you will use your clinical knowledge to understand how a claimant’s disability or health condition affects multiple aspects of their daily living. You will see physical, sensory, mental, and cognitive impairments. Following the assessment, you will report the impacts and the DWP will use this as part of their decision-making processes.

You’ll spend additional time in our centres or office locations to catch up with your manager and wider team or attend in-person training sessions.
  • Observing and reporting on an individual’s ability to carry out activities
  • Analysing and interpreting clinical information and supporting evidence
  • Creating one comprehensive 3,000-4,000-word report of the evidence gathered for each claimant, up to a maximum of 2 per day
