Full job description
Flourish Education are recruiting for a Cover Supervisor to work at a Secondary School in Solihull. The school is committed to creating a nurturing environment where they pride themselves on having a high level of inclusivity and having high expectations for their students.
Our partnership school require an experienced Cover Supervisor to support in a Secondary School. Requirements will include supporting a pre-planned lesson and overseeing the work set out by the Class Teacher.
This role is to start in September and last until the end of the academic year.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
Collecting completed work at the end of the lesson and returning it to the regular teacher.
Ensure pupils remain on task with pre-set work. Collect the completed work and return it to the regular teacher.
Reporting back to the class teacher on student progress, behaviour, or any incidents that occurred during the lesson.
Managing behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment
Required Skills and Experience as Cover Supervisor:
This Cover Supervisor position is in Solihull, which is easily commutable from Tyseley, Small Heath and Moseley. The school offers on-site parking and is well-connected by public transport links across Solihull.

- Degree or similar qualification
- Experience working with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum, particularly in Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
- £100-£120 per day, equating to £19,500 to £23,400 per annum. (Based on experience)
- Holiday Pay – 12.07% of your day rate is accrued into your holiday pot

- Free KCSIE-compliant Safeguarding and Prevent Duty Training, inclusive of modules relating to legislation, FGM and abuse
- Refer a friend bonus scheme
- Regular contact throughout the registration process and once you are at work
