Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic, friendly and creative Volunteer Studio Assistants to support our workshops at FirePetal Studio. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a busy creative studio, develop practical skills, and work alongside experienced tutors delivering unique craft workshops.
This role is ideal for students or individuals with a passion for art, design, crafts, or customer experience who are looking to build their portfolio and gain valuable industry experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist tutors with setting up workstations and preparing materials before each workshop.
- Welcome participants and assist with check-in and seating arrangements.
- Support tutors throughout workshops by preparing materials and keeping the studio organised.
- Help maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
- Clean tools, equipment and workstations after each session.
- Package finished glass pieces and prepare them for customer collection.
- Assist with photographing and filming workshops for social media content when required.
- Replenish studio materials and organise stock.
- After completing training, assist with delivering Glass Making Taster Classes independently when required, following the studio's safety procedures and teaching standards.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service and help create a welcoming experience for all guests.
Qualifications
- A genuine interest in art, crafts, design or creative workshops.
- Friendly, approachable and confident communicating with people.
- Reliable, punctual and willing to learn.
- Able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced studio environment.
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, education or creative workshops is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
