Full job description

An exciting Term Time job opportunity has arisen at Little Oaks After-School Club, Hawkinge for an After School Co-ordinator to lead our team.

We would like to appoint an enthusiastic After School Leader to oversee and help provide a range of activities for our children, and working alongside our After School Club and Management teams, ensure a safe and happy extended club facility to support our families.

The hours of work will be 5 days per week, 2.45pm - 5.45pm, term time only (15 hours per week for approx 38 - 39 weeks per years.

Little Oaks is a very popular After-School Club providing up to 24 places per day to children from our local primary school, from 3pm until 6pm daily.

You will be required to assist the Little Oaks Management Team in delivering continuous good practice and therefore you will need to understand how to lead, motivate and be responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the Little Oaks After School team to get the best from them and ensure they always put the children first.

We are looking for someone with:

A relevant qualification (minimum NVQ Level 3) and experience of working with children in a paid or voluntary capacity;

Good communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with our children and their families

Full training in first aid, safeguarding will be offered.
