Are you passionate about inspiring young children through outdoor learning? Do you want to be part of a supportive, friendly team that values creativity, professional development, and high-quality childcare?

At Oakland Hall Nursery, we're looking for an enthusiastic Level 3 Forest School Leader to join our dedicated team of outdoor educators. If you're committed to helping children grow in confidence, curiosity, and resilience through nature-based learning, we'd love to hear from you.

About Oakland Hall Nursery

Nestled within a beautiful listed building, Oakland Hall Nursery offers a warm, home-from-home environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn. We are committed to providing exceptional childcare while supporting the needs of working families.

Our outdoor space is home to our thriving Forest School, where children aged 2–5 years enjoy hands-on, learner-led experiences using the natural environment. We believe that outdoor education nurtures children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development, helping them build confidence and a lifelong love of learning.

We are proud to invest in our team, encouraging professional growth, fresh ideas, and a collaborative approach to delivering outstanding early years education.

  • Observe children's development and support their next learning steps.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents, carers, colleagues, and external professionals.
  • Lead and support team members with confidence and respect.
  • Supervise children during play, learning, mealtimes, and rest periods.
  • Contribute to the wider nursery team with flexibility and professionalism.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Level 3 Forest School qualification.
  • Has a genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Understands child development and values child-led learning.
  • Is confident, organised, and able to lead by example.
  • Communicates effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Enjoys working outdoors in all seasons.
  • Is proactive, enthusiastic, and eager to contribute new ideas.

What We Offer
