Join a growing laboratory team where your gas chromatography expertise will drive critical analysis and production operations in Aberdeen.

Status: Permanent
Location: Aberdeen
Rate: Available Upon Request

We are currently on the lookout for a Laboratory Technician on a permanent / staff basis for an exciting opportunity to join a growing team. Gas Chromatography instrument experience essential.

Duties and Job Description:

Perform laboratory activities including, but not limited to:

  • Analysis of gases and gas mixes, using appropriate instrumentation
  • Check analysis results and verify acceptance against given appropriate standards
  • Maintain accurate results within the company database
  • Perform basic routine checks on the laboratory instruments
  • Prepare and share reports with central HQ Laboratory Team

Assist with Production operations activity, including but not limited to:

  • Preparation of cylinders and gas bundles
  • Filling of gas cylinders and bundles with gases and gas mixes
  • Perform relevant checks according to the activity performed
  • Adhere to all internal and external quality assurance policies and standards
  • Provide support to sales, marketing, customer service, external customers and audit, within reasonable expectation of role
  • Report accidents including near misses, unsafe acts or conditions and obey safety rules
  • Any other duty and responsibility that may be assigned from time to time
  • Gas Chromatography instrument experience essential
