Cranswick Country Foods Poultry is a specialty producer of delicious, cooked poultry ingredients and is a leading innovator in the industry.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join the Development team at the Poultry site as a Senior NPD technologist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owns, manages and develops NPD & EPD projects from initial ideation to handover to process technologist team.
  • Champions the site stage and gate process and ensures accurate completion, record keeping and communication to key stakeholders throughout the NPD process.
  • Responsible for critical path adherence for their projects up to handover to process and oversees project delivery through to launch.
  • Understands category insight to enable them to generate credible and commercially sound paper ideas with rationale.
  • Accurately creates recipes from scratch that fit with site operational competencies considering retailer brand standards.
  • Drive cost effective concept development and ongoing product improvement, working in hand with the rest of the team.
  • Sourcing new raw materials and packaging and dealing with ingredient suppliers.
  • Organise and produce samples ready for dispatch and complete sample submission paperwork accurately.
  • Manage internal and customer panels, presenting to the customer with confidence and supporting rationale.
  • Builds a strong relationship with the customer development contact, understands what a good job looks like from a customer’s perspective and manages customer expectations in a timely manner.
  • Organise nutritional testing and any chemical analysis to test and validate any initial product claims.
  • Organise and validate organoleptic shelf life testing.

Monday to Friday shift.
