Full job description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Chemist to join our team at Vuba. In this key role, you will work closely with a growing, collaborative team. You will be responsible for the development, testing, and optimisation of both existing and new product formulations, playing a critical part in driving product innovation and continuous improvement. As an Chemist at Vuba, you will:

  • Play a key role in the formulation, development, and optimisation of new and existing products.
  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate a range of instruments to support accurate and efficient product development activities.
  • Engage effectively with key stakeholders both internally and externally to support product development and business objectives.
  • Develop and validate analytical methods tailored to R&D needs for new Polyurethane formulations and blends.
  • Interpret complex analytical data to support product development, process troubleshooting, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and documentation in accordance with internal protocols and industry standards.
  • Stay updated with current industry trends, new analytical techniques, and regulatory requirements.
  • Work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability and a positive approach to change.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations in all laboratory activities.
  • Any other Ad hoc duties

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Strong experience with Polyurethane.
  • Proficiency in using and troubleshooting analytical instrumentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with ISO/ASTM standards related to polymer testing
  • Prior R&D experience in plastics, petrochemicals, or polymer manufacturing.

Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
