About Bright Education

Established in 2014, Bright Education London is a growing tuition and training centre providing high-quality educational support from primary level to A Level.

We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable and experienced tutors in Maths, English and Science to join our team. The role is suitable for qualified or trainee teachers, graduates, experienced private tutors and subject specialists who are passionate about helping students improve their knowledge, confidence and examination performance.

Teaching qualifications are desirable but not essential. Applicants must have strong subject knowledge, relevant qualifications or academic experience, tutoring/teaching experience, and a genuine commitment to supporting learners. Full training and guidance will be provided.

The Role

Tutors will provide structured tuition to students aged approximately 6–18, following the UK National Curriculum through:

  • One-to-one tuition
  • Small groups of up to 4 students
  • Centre-based sessions
  • Online tuition

Sessions are generally held after school, evenings and weekends.

Subjects & Levels

We are particularly interested in tutors able to teach:

  • Maths: KS1 to A Level
  • English: KS1 to GCSE
  • Science: Year 8 to GCSE
  • SATs and 11+ preparation
  • A-Level Biology, Chemistry and Physics

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective tuition sessions.
  • Adapt teaching to individual learning needs and abilities.
  • Follow Bright Education programmes and resources.
  • Support preparation for SATs, 11+, GCSE and A Level examinations.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback.
  • Maintain a professional, supportive and safeguarding-focused environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents and management.
  • Maintain high standards of punctuality, reliability and professionalism.

Essential Requirements

  • Strong subject knowledge.
  • Relevant teaching or tutoring experience.
  • Good understanding of the UK National Curriculum.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work confidently with children and young people.
  • Patient, encouraging and professional approach.
  • Reliability and good time management.

DBS Requirement

Successful candidates must have a current Enhanced DBS check or be willing to obtain one before starting work.
