AIREflo-screed are a modern liquid screed company, that uses specially designed liquid screed volumetrics to make the screed on site and pump it in to the site all from one HGV so there's no waiting around for drums or sending loads back when the sample fails.

Job Summary.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Liquid Screeder / Floor Layer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up for installation, laying and surveying various types of screed in commercial and residential settings. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to interpret customer requirements. The ideal applicant will demonstrate excellent craftsmanship, safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a 2 man team.

Duties.

  • Prepare subfloors by cleaning and repairing surfaces where required and undertaking preparation works to ensure proper installation of flooring materials.
  • Communicate with clients to organise site access, specify datums, set up tripods, mix, pump and lay flooring materials accurately using the HGV, hand tools and other techniques.
  • Install various types of flooring such as liquid screed and self-levelling agents according to specifications.
  • Operate power tools safely to finish and remove laitance from both laid and existing flooring materials.
  • Follow technical drawings or pre pour survey sheets to ensure precise placement and alignment of flooring installations.
  • Conduct inspections during and after installation to verify quality standards are met.
  • Maintain a clean work environment by organising tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly.
  • Collaborate with other staff for seamless project completion.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction, specialising in flooring installation or related trades.
  • Proficiency with screeding hand tools.
  • Experience with power tools, including drills, saws, sanders, grinders and cutters.
  • Strong knowledge and ability to read technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with preparation techniques is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to interpret project plans accurately and execute tasks accordingly.
  • Good organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Physical fitness to perform manual tasks involving lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • CSCS card or other relevant qualifications or certifications in construction or flooring are advantageous.
  • Driving Licence.
