MULTI-SKILLED FLOOR LAYER REQUIRED

Sector: Commercial / Hotel Flooring

Employment: Full-Time / Permanent

Siteform Flooring are looking for an experienced, reliable and multi-skilled Floor Layer to join our growing team, primarily carrying out flooring works within the hotel and commercial sector.

The role will involve a mixture of planned flooring installations and reactive maintenance, working across hotels throughout the UK.

Key Skills & Experience

The successful candidate should be experienced in:

* LVT installation

* Flat-lay vinyl flooring

* Cap & cove / coved vinyl flooring

* Vinyl welding

* Screeding and subfloor preparation

* Carpet and carpet tile installation

* Uplifting and replacing existing carpet and vinyl

* Hardboard and chipboard subfloor replacement

* General subfloor repairs and preparation

* Priming, DPM and adhesive application

* Accurate measuring and cutting

* Removal and disposal of old flooring and waste

* Identifying and reporting subfloor issues

* Completing reactive maintenance works to a high standard

Hotel & Reactive Maintenance Experience

A background in hotel flooring or reactive maintenance would be highly advantageous.

Much of the work will involve attending hotel bedrooms and communal areas to rip up and replace damaged carpet or vinyl, repair/replace subfloors and leave areas ready for handover.

The ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of finish is essential, as many works will be carried out in live hotel environments.

Requirements

* CSCS Card – essential

* Full clean UK driving licence – essential

* Proven experience as a floor layer

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Own basic flooring tools

* Good attention to detail

* Reliable and punctual

* Professional appearance and attitude

* Good communication skills

* Able to complete work to programme and meet deadlines

* Willingness to travel and occasionally work away from home

* Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends when required

* Good understanding of site health & safety requirements
