Main contractors call CSC Screeding when the floor has to be right: flat, on time and right first time. Established in 1987, with over 2,900 projects since 2010, we are a specialist floor screeding contractor based in Langley, Slough, working across London and the South East. Accredited: ISO 9001, Constructionline Gold, CHAS Premium, Builders Profile, Local Supply Chain and THSP.

Hours: 9-hour days on site (8 paid, plus a 1-hour unpaid break for lunch). Early starts; hours vary with project delivery times.

We are hiring an HGV driver to run our two workhorses. Your competency decides which vehicle you run, Maverick, Viper or both, and where your pay sits in the band. This is not a sit-in-the-cab job. You are the start of every great floor.

• MAVERICK: our 44-tonne mobile screed factory. It batches and pumps flowing screed on site. Full training on the plant, including Overmat.
• VIPER: our eight-wheeler clamshell grab lorry. It keeps sites and Maverick supplied and handles muck-away.

Pay by role

• Maverick operator (C+E / Class 1): £45,000 to £50,000 a year
• Viper driver (Cat C minimum + clamshell grab ticket): £35,000 to £42,000 a year
• Both trucks (hybrid): up to £50,000 a year

All depending on experience, plus paid overtime.

What you'll do

• Drive Maverick and Viper safely and legally to sites across London and the South East, to the daily plan from the Operations Planner
• Maverick: set up, run and clean down the batching plant on pour days, working with our screed crews (full training on the plant, including Overmat)
• Viper: load and unload materials with the clamshell grab, and handle muck-away
• Do and record your daily walkaround checks before you drive, and report defects the same day
• Keep to drivers' hours and tachograph rules, every day, no grey areas
• Complete delivery notes, batch records, photos and timesheets accurately
• Do basic maintenance (greasing, fluids, minor fixes) and help in the yard on non-driving days

Must-haves (if you don't hold these, please don't apply)

• Full UK HGV licence: Category C+E (Class 1) for Maverick; Category C minimum for Viper
• Valid Driver CPC (Driver Qualification Card in date)
• Digital tachograph driver card
• Clean driving licence (we check every licence with DVLA)
• Clamshell grab / lorry loader ticket (CPCS A36 / NPORS N107 / ALLMI) – essential for Viper
• Valid CSCS card, minimum green
• Right to work in the UK
• Fit for manual handling (hoses, pipes, bags) and safe working at height on the vehicle (ladders, platforms)
• Happy with early starts and travel across London and the South East
• At least 3 years' HGV driving experience

Nice to have

• Plant, pump, mixer or batching experience
• Construction, tipper, grab or HIAB work
• Basic mechanical skills
