Job Summary

We are a leading B2B construction business with an excellent reputation across the South West & South East. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Business Development Assistant to join their preconstruction team based in their Bristol office.

Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager and Company Director, this is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious candidate with proven experience who is looking for long-term career development, exposure to exciting projects, and the opportunity to progress and grow their career.

The Role:

As a Business Development Assistant, you will play a key role within the preconstruction function, supporting the delivery of accurate and competitive tenders across a range of sectors.

Duties

• Support the management of client relationships using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software
• Preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and project information
• Producing pricing information
• Supporting the preconstruction team through the tender process
• Identifying opportunities, risks and value engineering solutions
• Working collaboratively with commercial and operational teams
• Supplier relationship management
• Identifying New Business and management of existing Business Clients

About You:

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Assistant with:

Essential:

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• A proven background
• Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness
• The ambition and drive to develop your career further
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Preferred (but not essential):

• Experience pricing construction projects from tender through to submission
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and build costs
