Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscaper to join our team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor environments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, gardening, and construction, with a keen eye for detail and safety. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from routine maintenance to complex landscaping tasks, contributing to the aesthetic and functional quality of outdoor spaces.

Duties

  • Perform landscape maintenance including paving, concreting, turfing and fencing.
  • Operate power tools such as sthilsaws, wacker plates, mixers, breakers, drills and saws.
  • Use hand tools for levelling, screeding, mixing, digging, pointing, and other landscaping activities.
  • Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for site preparation and construction tasks.
  • Assist with construction projects including laying pathways, installing features, and garden structures.
  • Conduct routine maintenance of equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during operations to prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timeframes while maintaining high standards of quality.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in landscape maintenance or related horticultural fields.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, irrigation systems, and heavy machinery such as excavators.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools for gardening and construction tasks.
  • Knowledge of horticulture principles, gardening techniques, and environmental sustainability practices.
  • Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
  • Physical fitness with the capability to perform manual labour outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in horticulture, landscaping, or construction are desirable but not essential.
