CSC Screeding is looking for a dedicated Delivery Driver and Yard Operative to join our dynamic team. This is more than just a driving job; it's a chance to be an integral part of our operations and growth.

What we Offer:

We are looking for:

Flexible working hours will be required – some early mornings starts may be required around 6:00am, and there may be occasions where work continues past 5:00pm, this is all depending on project needs.

· Excellent organisational skills

· Experience and ability to ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and security

· Experience operating forklifts

· Maintenance/ Mechanical skills – experience in basic mechanical maintenance

· Familiarity with various types of plant machinery

· Maintaining records for Health and safety - pre-use daily checks, completing service records, fault, and repair forms

· Physical ability to manage heavy lifting safely

· Good level of verbal English with basic writing skills.

Driving Experience:

· Clean driving licence with BE classification; C1E and CE (HGV class 1) Driver CPC

· Good experience in operating, towing plant and machinery

Responsibilities:

· Loading and unloading building materials from the delivery vehicle

· Delivering building materials to various construction sites in a timely and safe manner

· Completing delivery paperwork and obtaining signatures where necessary.

· Undertaking the daily operations of the Yard and warehouse

· Coordinating the movement, storage, and logistics of building materials within the yard.

· Ensuring smooth handling of materials and equipment

· Diagnostic and fault-finding skills for performing small maintenance and repairs in a safe manner, anticipating machine failures, and recommending preventive measures.

· Cutting shuttering/ Angles and preparation work for screeding teams

· Operating of silos and loading materials for the liquid screed lorry

· Operating Bobcat – Machinery for loading up sand

· Taking and managing materials and stock in Yard

• Delivery driver experience: 4 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Clean driving licence
• Driving Licence (required HGV class 1 category)
• Forklift Licence (is useful, but not essential - we can support the right candidate to gain certification)
• Formal plant certifications are of benefit but not essential
