Permanent position, Guaranteed 48-hour a week contract.

Mondays – Fridays only.

No Weekends!

Benefits and Salary:

Starting salary of £35,568 per annum (based on a 48 hour working week)

Opportunity to earn up to £46,311.20! with overtime (based on a 60 hour week)

Opportunity of overtime, paid at the rate of time & ¼ after 50hrs.

Potential bonus payment of £600 (Bi-annually, Performance Related)

Job Summary:

You will be delivering building materials to local, regional, and national trade, and public customers. You will be required to build and maintain good working relations with customers to ensure satisfaction and uphold the company's great reputation at all times.

• 4am - 6am starts depending on delivery location
• Average working day 12hrs
• Shift finish time usually between 3pm - 5pm
• Approx 3-5 deliveries per day
• Average working week is 55-60hrs

Candidate Duties:

• Carry out daily checks in line with company procedures prior to leaving the depot to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy
• Ensure the load is safe and secure and the correct vehicle is being taken out
• Fuel management
• Record paperwork, delivery notes and handle cash where required

Candidate Requirements:

• Full UK driving license with the entitlement to drive an HGV Class 2 vehicle
• CPC & Digi-tacho
• 21 years or over, due to insurance reasons
• No more than 6 penalty points on your current licence
• Good geographical and road knowledge
• Physical fitness as there will be some aspects of manual handling
• Good customer facing & verbal communication skills

It would be advantageous if you had a Moffett license and had experience using ratchet and straps, however, don’t worry if you haven’t as this will not affect your application as full training will be provided.
