Floor Layer Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Floor Layer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in laying various types of flooring for both commercial and residential projects. The successful candidate should possess a strong work ethic, a solid grasp of the construction industry, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for flooring installation
- Accurately measure and cut flooring materials to fit specific requirements.
- Install flooring materials using appropriate methods.
- Maintain cleanliness of job sites, tools, and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Engage with clients professionally and deliver exceptional customer service throughout projects.
- Demonstrate proficiency in laying vinyl floors including flat lay, cap and cove with hot welded joints, coved skirting, and screeding.
- Execute carpet fitting tasks including all necessary preparation work.

Skills:
- Prior experience as a Floor Layer with the opportunity for skill enhancement on-site if proficient in other flooring areas.
- Must have a CSCS card

The successful candidate must hold a full driver's license.

Must be willing to working away from home as a lot of our work is shop fitting this requires us to travel all round the uk, there additional wage increase when working away which will be discussed.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Experience:

• Flooring: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (required)
