Trade Recruit is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client, Judge Flooring & Decor Ltd, a well-established and rapidly growing flooring specialist based in Brighton & Hove.

Our client delivers high-quality flooring installations across domestic and commercial properties throughout Sussex.

Due to continued growth and an increasing workload, they are looking for an Experienced Flooring Fitter to join their friendly and professional team.

Key Responsibilities

• Install flooring across domestic and commercial properties.
• Fit flooring products relevant to your experience and specialisms.
• Carry out LVT, vinyl, carpet and safety flooring installations where experienced.
• Prepare subfloors, including levelling, smoothing and general preparation.
• Accurately measure, cut and fit flooring materials.
• Complete flooring repairs, replacements and refurbishment projects.
• Work from drawings, measurements and job specifications.
• Ensure all installations are completed to a high standard.
• Maintain clean, tidy and safe working environments.
• Communicate professionally with customers, contractors and colleagues.
• Work independently and as part of an experienced installation team.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in flooring installation.
• Proven experience fitting at least one flooring type, such as LVT, vinyl, carpet or safety flooring.
• Strong knowledge of flooring installation techniques and floor preparation.
• Ability to work independently and complete installations without supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Own reliable transport.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, trustworthy and reliable attitude.
• Willingness to travel throughout Sussex for projects.

Desirable Experience

• Experience installing multiple flooring types.
• Commercial vinyl and safety flooring installations.
• Subfloor preparation, screeding and levelling.
• Experience working across domestic and commercial projects.
• Experience completing larger flooring installations.
• Ability to support or mentor less experienced fitters.
