Due to continuing growth of our award-winning flooring company, we are looking for an additional floor layer to join our expanding team on an employed basis.

Job Description

We are a commercial and domestic company with a new showroom. Duties will include subfloor preparation, LVT, carpets/carpet tiles and wood.

Works are carried out throughout the SW and include domestic and commercial premises, including pubs, restaurants, offices and public buildings.

Skills Required

• Experienced floor layer
• Domestic Carpet Fitting
• Luxury vinyl tiles (LVT) Glue down and click systems
• Subfloor preparation – including light grinding and laitance removal, old floor covering removal, floor screeding, over ply and damp proof membrane systems (DPM’s)
• Driving Licence (essential)

Desirable, but not essential

• CSCS (For the right candidate, training will be given to obtain this)
• Cap and cove (Preferred)
• Commercial Flooring experience (Preferred)
• Wood flooring installer
• NVQ2 in Flooring
• Safety flooring
• Laminate flooring
• Herringbone LVT and feature work
• Full dust free wood sanding and sealing service
• Moisture testing
• Altro Whiterock hygienic wall cladding

Flooring Matters SW Ltd is an established flooring contractor based in Heathfield, Newton Abbot. We are looking for skilled operatives to grow with us as we evolve and expand our friendly team.

Having recently opened a Premium showroom and we are expanding the domestic side of our business. Therefore we're looking for exceptional fitters to join our existing team and help us maintain and enhance our reputation in Devon.

Additional Information

We are based in Heathfield, Newton Abbot, there may be some travel involved.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
