Opportunity Profile
We are seeking a proactive and motivated Site Supervisor to oversee the delivery of underfloor heating projects on large scale construction sites for high profile clients. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard, as well as still being hands-on with testing systems. The work is national and there will be travel with the role.
Day to day you will be completing all relevant paperwork and attending compulsory daily site meetings, managing subcontract labour and a small team of directly employed Installers. You will be a confident communicator, liaising with the contractor and with the internal design team for any technical advice.

Key tasks
Supervision & Coordination
- Oversee daily site operations, ensuring all work is completed to specification and deadlines are met.
- Attend daily site briefings to set expectations and goals for the day.
- Manage and support subcontractors and direct labour, ensuring adherence to site drawings and design specifications.
- Liaise with the design team to update drawings when changes are required.
Installation & Technical Support
- Support the team with hands on work when required, including basic tasks and job completion.
- Oversee and assist with the installation of underfloor heating components, such as manifolds and flow/return pipework.
- Install, operate, and decommission temporary boilers and buffers to preheat and climatise floors.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Conduct pressure testing and ensure all installations meet quality standards prior to screeding.
- Complete QA forms and maintain photographic records of installations.
- Perform leak repairs and make any necessary pipework adjustments.
Servicing & Maintenance
- Carry out servicing and maintenance of existing underfloor heating systems as needed.
Documentation & Compliance
- Complete all required site paperwork, including HSE documentation, quality records, and pressure testing forms.
- Ensure adequate welfare facilities are in place and maintained for all site workers.
Qualifications, Licences and Certificates
Essential
- Full clean UK driving licence (regular travel will be involved)
- CSCS
- BPSS Security Clearance Check (Includes standard DBS) – Mathewson will provide this if you do not have already)
Desirable
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- Relevant trade qualification e.g. plumbing
- First Aid
- Banksman
- SEATS
- Product Knowledge of Screed
Demonstratable Experience
- Previous experience within Underfloor Heating or a related field is desirable.
- Experience in a supervisory position
- Excellent leadership and team management skills to motivate and guide the installation teams effectively.
- In depth knowledge and experience of health and safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance onsite.
