Position: Full time, permanent role offering 37 hours per week between the hours of 08:00-16:00 Monday – Thursday, 8:00 -15:30 Friday

Location: Saint James Lane, Coventry, CV3 3FX

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, motivated and passionate Vinyl / LVT Floor - Layer to join our Maintenance Operations team to carry out planned domestic repairs in a social housing setting.

As a Trade Engineer within the Programmed Works department one of the key roles for these opportunities is to engage in high levels of customer service as well as offering your trade experience and knowledge to our wide range of diverse customers.

In housing you can make a real difference, the role of Trade Engineer – Floor-layer (Multiskilled) will involve:

  • Working to a programme of works and within budget / timescales
  • The ability to work well on your own and alongside other contractors in a timely efficient manner
  • Having a good knowledge of the building and construction industry
  • Responding to prearranged repair appointments
  • Be motivated to work internally / externally all year round
  • Being able to work with a wide range of building materials
  • To actively drive and promote a first-time fix repairs culture
  • Be forthcoming with new ideas and solutions to improve our service offering

As Trade Engineer – Floor-Layer (Multiskilled) we need you to have:

  • A Craft City & Guilds or S/NVQ Level 2 in Floor- Laying / Wall Tiling
  • Full driving licence
  • Knowledge and Experience of screeding and laying LVT Flooring
  • Experience and working knowledge within multiple trades beyond your core trade
  • Experience and working knowledge within multiple trades beyond your core trade
  • Experience of dealing with customers and commitment to delivering a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Conscientious and awareness of Health and Safety
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer focus

We would be really excited if you have:

  • Experience of working within the social housing sector
  • Experience in using PDA device to receive and complete jobs.
  • Experience of wall tiling using ceramic tiles
