This role will work closely with our banners, technology teams and stakeholders to deliver improvements that make a real difference for customers and colleagues.

What's the job?

  • Work with Business Analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and deliverable outcomes
  • Partner with the Product Manager to define and evolve the product vision, long-term strategy, and roadmap for Store Operations
  • Engage with banners to understand functional, data, and operational needs across checkout and self-checkout journeys
  • Own delivery against OKRs, tracking progress, risks, and results, and ensuring alignment with group, tech, and banner priorities
  • Communicate decisions, priorities, and trade-offs clearly and credibly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Support banner teams with performance optimisation of checkout and self-checkout solutions, using data and feedback to identify improvements
  • Understand the architecture and dependencies within the in-store checkout ecosystem to inform decisions and mitigate risks
  • Use research, competitor analysis, and qualitative/quantitative data to identify opportunities, validate ideas, and drive optimisation

What you'll bring

  • Strong experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or relevant subject matter expert
  • Understanding of in-store Electronic Point of Sale solutions is desired but not essential

  • Understanding of Agile principles and experience with different methodologies
  • Understanding of the use of OKRs and the concept of business capabilities
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Experience of collaborative working with Design and Research teams
  • Experience of working with offshore and 3rd party development teams
  • Confident working with ambiguity and to challenging deadlines
  • Comfortable with technical conversations – initiating and understanding them
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to influence at all levels
  • Passionate about solving problems for our customers and colleagues
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence, as well as whiteboarding and product solutions would be beneficial, but not essential
  • Retail background would be an advantage, but it is not essential
